The 26 Surf Street property holds a rich history that spans over eight decades, as it was proudly owned by the same family for 80 years. Originally adorned with a smaller seasonal cabin, the property bore witness to countless cherished moments and family gatherings over the years. However, in 2004, recognizing the potential for a more versatile space, the family made the decision to embark on the construction of a permanent 4-season home, bidding farewell to the beloved seasonal cabin. Fast forward to 2022, the property found its way into the hands of new owners, who have held Popham close to their hearts for over 40 years, turning their lifelong vacation spot into a place to call home. In an effort to preserve the history of the space, the current owners have carried out upgrades and renovations, ensuring that the property stands ready to welcome new visitors. As they open its doors to others, they do so with the hope that the property will continue to be a haven of unforgettable experiences and building of lifelong memories for many years to come.

The “Cottage”

The cottage is perfect for a single family. It is a 1400sq ft, 4 season 2 bedroom, 2 bath house with deeded access that puts you just steps away from the beach. Occupancy is limited to 6 people. The 1st floor has an open concept kitchen and living space with a half bath. There is a three season porch that is perfect for dining, playing games and singing your favorite oldies songs. The 2nd floor has two air conditioned bedrooms. The 1st has a king size bed. The “kids” room has a set of bunk beds (a queen on bottom and a twin on top) and another twin bed. In between the two bedrooms is a large bathroom with a full size shower with crystal clear water (if you know Popham you know this isn’t always the case).

The cottage is nestled in a serene location, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its spacious interior and cozy atmosphere, it provides the perfect setting for creating lasting memories with your loved ones. The “adult” room features a king size bed and plenty of room to spread out.
